Goldwin & Cactus Store

Goldwin will launch a capsule collection with Cactus Store, a Los Angeles based multi-disciplinary creative studio. The project centers around the theme, “Earth Does Not Belong to Man” which serves as a powerful philosophical anchor for the Goldwin × Cactus Store collection, echoing a shared reverence for nature and a critique of human-centered design. In a world increasingly disconnected from nature, this project is a gentle rebellion, a reminder that clothing can be more than functional — it can be a medium for storytelling, ecological awareness, and community building.

Cactus Store is a group of self-described “plant and ecology nerds” who operate at the intersection of botany, art, and activism.Cactus Store isn’t just a shop; it’s a living, breathing ecosystem of rare plants, experimental greenhouses, custom furniture, and quirky educational initiatives. Their ethos revolves around deepening the relationship between humans and the nonhuman world, often through playful, poetic, and provocative means.
For Goldwin, this collection underscores its commitment to creating gear that harmonizes with the environment rather than dominating it. For Cactus Store, whose work revolves around rare plants and ecological storytelling, it’s a manifesto — reminding us that nature is not a resource to be consumed, but a living system to be respected.
The Goldwin x Cactus Store collection consists of 4 styles — T-shirt, shirt, cap and bandana — with the theme words “Earth Does Not Belong to Man” and illustrations developed from Cactus Store’s field research in Namaqualand, a South African World Heritage Site, renowned for its pristine, untouched wilderness.
