Digital Product Passport

About

Extending the value of a product, long after its initial purpose is served.

A product is not complete the moment it is made. It evolves through time spent with its owner—used in the field, cared for, and occasionally repaired, growing in value with every experience.

At Goldwin, our craftsmanship extends beyond the point of sale. We create with a vision for the time our products are worn, as well as what happens when their initial journey comes to an end.

At the core of this philosophy is “Long Life”—the belief that products should be designed to be kept and used for as long as possible. The Digital Product Passport is a new framework designed to connect this philosophy to each individual garment. By making a product’s background transparent, we guide users toward better care, repair, and reuse options—aiming to build a longer, richer relationship between our garments and the people who wear them.

What’s DPP

The Digital Product Passport (DPP) is a digital system that connects, manages, and provides access to data regarding a product’s background and lifecycle.

By scanning the code attached to a product with a smartphone, users can access basic product information, details on materials and manufacturing processes, care and repair instructions, as well as guidelines for reuse and recycling. Its key feature is the centralized record of a product's journey—from manufacturing and usage through to collection—which can be accessed whenever needed. At Goldwin, we utilize the DPP as a tool to make product information transparent, encouraging proper care, long-term use, and seamless transition into a circular economy.

Note: The information provided may vary depending on the characteristics of the item and the availability of data.

Our Journey

Goldwin’s Digital Product Passport is an evolving initiative that will grow alongside our products and services.

We are launching this initiative starting with products connected to Toyama—the roots of Goldwin. From the Toyama Marathon and Kataller Toyama to the skiwear crafted for snowy mountains, we will enable users to digitally trace the background of products rooted in local sports and outdoor fields. From the transformation of raw materials into finished garments, to the marathon routes, stadiums, and snow-covered slopes—by documenting where a product is born and where it is lived in, the value of a single garment becomes something far greater than what can be measured by functionality or materials alone.

26/27 KATALLER TOYAMA
Limited Uniform

Inspired by the ridgelines of the Mt.Tateyama Range, the design reinterprets Kataller Blue through bold white and blue lines set against deep navy. The upward trajectory expresses the club’s ambition to reach Japan’s top-tier J1 League. This limited-edition collared style is designed for both the stadium and everyday wear.

Toyama Marathon

The 2026 participation T-shirt was developed using heat-map data from Goldwin Tech Lab and combines two different materials. UV-protective, heat-shielding fabric is placed around the shoulders, while breathable dot mesh is used across the front and back panels. Both fabrics are made from 100% recycled polyester.

Coming Soon

Through the Digital Product Passport (DPP), we visualize each product’s history, nurture a deeper connection with the wearer, and guide items toward repair, reuse, and ultimately, a circular future.

As we evolve the DPP alongside our products and services, Goldwin aims to create a framework where a product’s value does not diminish with time, but rather deepens the more it is worn.

Note: This initiative is an ongoing project designed to test and expand information frameworks that encourage long-term product use. Applicable products and published details will be updated progressively according to item characteristics and data availability.
