Mogul

Ikuma Horishima

Born in December 1997 in Ikeda Town, Ibi District, Gifu Prefecture, he is currently affiliated with Toyota Motor Corporation.
He began competing seriously in moguls from the fourth grade of elementary school, driven by his enduring passion for skiing. In his third year of high school, he finished third at the opening event of the FIS World Cup season and was named the official FIS Rookie of the Year.

After enrolling at Chukyo University, he represented Japan at the 2017 FIS World Championships in his sophomore year, winning gold medals in both the moguls and dual moguls events. At the 2018 PyeongChang Olympic Games, his first Olympic appearance, he finished 11th.

Determined to redeem himself after PyeongChang, he competed at the Beijing Olympic Games and claimed a bronze medal. In the FIS World Cup, he achieved another major milestone by securing the Moguls Overall Title in the 2023–2024 season.
He continues to pursue the pinnacle of the sport, challenging every possibility in his quest to become the best in the world.
